A Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining and managing the outdoor areas of lawns, social spaces, work areas and walkways.
Requirements
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns and grass areas.
- Fertilize and apply pesticides or herbicides as needed.
- Reseed lawns, aerate soil, and install new plants as necessary.
- Shovel or pull weeds in small to large areas.
- Inspect and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Remove litter, fallen leaves, and debris from grounds.
- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas.
- Ensure safety of the grounds, preventing hazards and ensuring clear pathways.
- Follow health and safety regulations related to equipment, chemicals, and landscaping practices.
- Assist with snow removal during the winter season.
- Support event setups or outdoor functions.
- Report any issues or damage related to the grounds to the appropriate personnel.
