Job Description
This position is for a Medium Voltage Electrical Substation Test Technician, responsible for inspections, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical components in the field and shop environment. It involves utilizing electrical test equipment to diagnose and correct equipment problems. The role is based at the Blue Plains facility in Washington DC, with local travel possible.
Requirements
- Electrical, high-voltage (HV) and substation testing, installation, maintenance and repair.
- Conductive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Use electrical power distribution systems up to 69 KV classification.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Implement Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Arc Flash and confined space entry protocols.
