Lead Detailer - Construction

U.S. Engineering Innovations is seeking a Lead Detailer to lead a team of detailers and work closely with other project stakeholders to deliver mechanical and plumbing BIM models. The successful candidate will have proficiency in Revit software and experience in the field as a Pipe Fitter, Plumber or Sheet Metal worker. The role involves working on complex projects and making decisions that protect US Engineering.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Associates Degree in Engineering or Drafting Technology helpful
• Completion of a trade related apprenticeship program will be required in certain locations, based on union contractual agreements
• Proficiency with Revit software
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software preferred
• Proficiency with Navisworks Manage software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficiency with Procore software preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the field as a Pipe Fitter, Plumber or Sheet Metal worker is preferred
• Understanding of layout of HVAC / piping / plumbing
• Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, Pipefitting, Plumbing) preferred
• Thorough understanding of HVAC, Piping, and/or Plumbing systems
• Understanding of mechanical construction principles and processes
• Understanding of building codes
