Job Description
Join our new research team in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology as a Research Technician to play a foundational role in research towards understanding antibiotic resistance and developing therapeutics for gastrointestinal bacterial infections.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Ability to keep organized notes and records.
- Ability to effectively communicate through email and in person.
- Prior experience with laboratory rodents preferred.
- Prior experience in any of the following areas is preferred: Molecular cloning, bacteriology, yeast genetics, tissue culture, and next-generation sequencing.
- Prior experience in sterile culturing is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and microbiology.
- Two years of research laboratory experience.
