Job Description
Ubisoft is a global leader in video games and is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Programmer to participate in the design and development of AI systems for game characters and interactions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, at least 5 years of programming experience, and solid C++ programming skills applied to game AI.
Requirements
- Design, implement, and maintain real-time gameplay AI systems under Unreal Engine
- End-to-end AI behavior support from architecture to implementation, debugging, tuning, and optimization directly in-game
- Work closely with gameplay, animation, technical design, and programming teams to deliver readable, systemic, reliable, and maintainable AI
- Optimize AI systems considering performance, processor constraints, computational budgets, behavioral detail levels, and the number of simultaneous agents
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on behaviors to validate design intent
- Identify and correct AI-related bugs while improving global stability
- Contribute to code quality by applying good practices and participating in code reviews
- Document systems and share best practices within the team
