Requirements

• Medical assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program
• National certification for medical assistant issued by CMA, NCCT, or AMT
• Documentation of completion of UCLA Health Ambulatory Nursing Medical Assistant Bridge Program
• Knowledge of normal and abnormal symptomology and life-threatening medical problems
• Ability to administer CPR and administer medications
• Venipuncture and skin puncture skills
• Skill to perform an EKG and order medical supplies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
