Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner functions in an interdependent role, providing specialized care to patients with Sickle Cell Disease and post-transplant or CAR-T therapy recipients. Responsibilities include changing treatment regimens, providing patient/family education, and making referrals.
Requirements
- CA RN and CA NP License
- MSN/ DNP in NP Specialty (Adult Acute Care NP Specialty preferred)
- National Certification in NP Specialty
- BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II
- NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES
- 5+ years of exp as an oncology certified nurse (infusion center experience a plus)
- Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel
- Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction
- Ability to set priorities
- Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence
- Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner
