Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support a portfolio of capital upgrades across an Alumina Smelter in Portland, Victoria. The successful candidate will perform electrical and instrumentation inspections, repairs, upgrades and calibrations to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operational performance.
Requirements
- Trade-qualified Electrical Instrumentation Technician, Electrician with Instrumentation, or equivalent
- Experience in mining, minerals processing, alumina/bauxite, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong technical capability across HV/LV electrical systems, PLCs, instruments, transmitters, control valves, analysers and process control equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams and technical documentation
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork and delivering high-quality workmanship
