Laboratory Assistant

Laboratory Assistant with responsibilities including sample collection, preparation, testing, and communication with project owners.

Requirements

• Collects samples from sample cage following appropriate SOPs and sample handling guidelines.
• Prepares samples for testing utilizing reference materials.
• Coordinates testing of samples between project owners and testers.
• Communicates continually with project owners regarding issues, timelines, etc.
• Maintains sample chain of custody within LIMS and within lab as able.
• Performs wet chemistry testing as needed such as pH, specific gravity, percent ash, etc.
• Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
