Job description
The Substation Civil/Structural Engineer will work in Ulteig's Substation department, supporting Renewables/Utility/Power projects. The Engineer will plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work, making design recommendations and adaptations for foundation design, structural steel design, and grading plans.
The Engineer will apply current engineering techniques, develop plans and specifications, and work closely with engineering technicians and experienced engineers. They will also perform calculations, check design computations, and coordinate specific design aspects of a project.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, a PE registration, and at least 4 years of engineering experience. They will also have knowledge of electrical utility substation layout and design, structural steel, and grading design.
