Job Description
The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) is seeking a Part-Time Faculty: Nursing Medical-Surgical Clinical Instructor to teach clinical courses in the BSN pre-licensure program. The successful applicant will have expertise in evidence-based best practices in teaching nursing, a passion for nursing and teaching, and a commitment to supporting diversity and student success.
Requirements
- Current unencumbered licensure as a RN in the State of Maine, or eligibility for Maine licensure.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing/Master’s or higher to teach the theory portion of any course.
- Clinical practice within the past five years in med/surg nursing.
- Strong desire to support student learning in mental health environments and experiences.
- Teaching that includes the use of new technologies and delivery systems; experience teaching students at a distance.
