Job Description
The Watch Engineer performs skilled work in the operation and maintenance of multi-fuel high-pressure boilers and turbines, ensuring steam and electricity production. This temporary position offers $27.11/hr and requires careful attention to safety and meticulous record-keeping. The role involves inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these critical pieces of equipment, ensuring efficient and reliable operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- High Pressure Boiler License, stationary steam license strongly preferred
- At least three years of related experience
- Valid Maine driver’s license
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work environment involving physical activity and potential exposure to hazards
