UN Women is a global organization dedicated to advancing gender equality and empowering women. Focusing on five key areas—leadership and participation, ending violence against women, economic empowerment, peace and security, and national planning and budgeting—it supports UN Member States in setting and implementing global standards for gender equality. Through collaboration with governments and civil society, UN Women works to ensure women's equal participation in all aspects of life.
The Data and Statistics Intern will contribute to various flagship publications through reviewing literature, analyzing statistics, developing data visualizations, and factchecking. The intern will work with the Research and Data Section in the Policy Division to develop data visualizations and extract indicators from large international datasets. The intern will also have the opportunity to increase their knowledge of women's rights and gender equality, as well as quantitative research methods and gender statistics.
