UN Women Deputy Country Representative, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The Deputy Country Representative will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Country Programme, contributing to the design, implementation, management, and oversight of the programme, and providing technical support and advisory services to the Country Representative. The incumbent will lead a team of 20 personnel, including 5 direct reports, and will be responsible for programme conceptualization, planning, implementing, and monitoring, as well as managing material and financial resources.

Requirements

• Master's degree in international development, public administration, public policy, or other relevant social science fields
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in development programmes with a strong focus in the area of gender equality and women's empowerment
• Experience leading and coaching staff in international settings
• Fluency in English and knowledge of another official UN language is desirable
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages
