Job Description
The UN Women: Women’s Economic Empowerment Intern role involves supporting the 2026 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards and other programme activities under the Gender Action Lab, under the overall supervision of the Programme Management Specialist, WEE. Responsibilities include reviewing applications, drafting invitations, contributing to meetings, notifying Awardees, and coordinating ceremony logistics.
Requirements
- Review of applications and due diligence for the 2026 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards
- Support for the UN Women 2026 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards in the lead up to the Regional Ceremony
- Contribution to GAL communications activities, including drafting of newsletters, impact stories, and WEPs Case studies
- Outreach efforts by documenting key highlights, success stories, and event summaries for internal and external communication purposes
- Development of presentation decks and inputs to briefing materials and talking points for GAL events
- Compiling and organizing information generated through workshops, consultations, meetings, briefings, and partner engagements
- Liaising with and providing support to GAL country teams and other partners
- Supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of GAL activities
- Actively participating in and contributing to team meetings
- Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisor
