
Job description
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist will lead the UNCDF MEL agenda at the country level, gathering insights and learnings from UNCDF interventions in-country to identify best practices and inform UNCDF programming. The role will involve designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative research, supervising evaluation exercises, and contributing to the development of the UNCDF of practice in the country.
The MEL Specialist will apply monitoring tools for all UNCDF interventions, participate in the roll-out of implementation, and contribute to the positioning of UNCDF in leading the efforts by supporting partners in building the business case, identifying critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and driving analysis and understanding of customer behavior.
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative research, providing oversight to implementing partners, and developing performance indicators, data collection tools, and tracking systems. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
