Project and Senior Sustainable Finance Specialist

Role Overview

The Project and Senior Sustainable Finance Specialist will oversee the implementation of the GEF8-BFP Umbrella program at the national level in Eswatini. They will be responsible for supervising a national team, ensuring a proper workplan and budget are in place, and implementing activities within set timelines. The Specialist will work closely with the technical team to establish implementation mechanisms and technical working groups, and ensure all planned workshops, technical studies, and other activities are organized in a timely manner.

What You Will Do

The Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the identification, selection, and supervision of national consultants and experts, writing/revising terms of references, and elaborating/revising the work plan and budget. They will also supervise the work of national experts and institutions, organize project workshops, and maintain regular communication with Ministries of Environment and Finance.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in Environment/Natural Resource Management, Project Management, Biodiversity, Political Studies, Economics/Finance, or relevant related field
• 7 years' experience (with master's degree) or 9 years (with bachelor's degree) in the implementation of environment/biodiversity/finance projects
• Experience in the use of computers, office software packages, and web-based management systems
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages
