Communications Associate

The Communications Associate will support the Communications and External Relations Unit in advancing UNHCR's visibility, public communications, and external engagement in the Nordic and Baltic Countries. The role involves proactive and impactful media engagement, developing compelling narratives, and producing content for UNHCR's regional and global platforms.

Requirements

• University degree in political science, international relations, development studies, migration studies, communications, media studies, journalism, or a related field
• Fluency in written and spoken English and at least one Nordic language (Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, or Swedish)
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content
• Experience writing for a public audience (e.g. newspaper articles, student journalism, blogs, or organizational publications) is highly desirable
