Job Description
The Disease Intervention Specialist- Health Department position involves completing contact investigations of Reportable Communicable diseases, implementing control measures, and providing recommendations to prevent disease spread. The role also requires data entry, investigations of disease outbreaks, and community outreach.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related fields, including Health Sciences, Public Health, Biology, Epidemiology, Nursing, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six months of experience in Public Health, Communicable Disease Control, Infection Control, or related field is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to concentrate on detailed information
- Ability to manage work effectively and efficiently
