General Laborer-Public Works

The General Laborer performs manual labor and equipment operation duties in maintaining safe and reliable streets throughout the community. This includes road and culvert repairs, winter weather operations, sign repair and replacement, traffic control setup, and emergency storm response.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance
• CDL preferred at the time of application or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire
• Ability to operate a two-way radio and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a variety of weather and field conditions
