The Maintenance Tech III is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repairs on public parks, buildings, and aquatic systems, including troubleshooting and repairing complex systems, installing and maintaining irrigation controls, and providing support for water treatment equipment in aquatics.
Requirements
- Perform all functions of Maintenance Tech I and II positions
- Maintain and repair irrigation control systems, ensuring proper function and water efficiency
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of playground equipment under the direction of certified personnel, ensuring safety and functionality
- Perform advanced facility maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work, in accordance with departmental guidelines
- Operate and maintain trade-related tools and specialized equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues in public facilities
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain organized records of inspections and repairs
- Trains lower-level maintenance techs as directed
- Perform seasonal duties, including winterization of park facilities
- Remove trash and debris from work areas, parks and public spaces
- Assists with snow removal as needed
- Performs related duties as assigned
