United Alloy is seeking a 1st Shift Assembler to prep and assemble fabricated components and materials in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies.
Requirements
- Understands cross check concepts and inspects product according to Inspections Control Plan
- Accurately tags material and product according to product specifications
- Can identify hardware components used in assemblies
- Can compute decimal equivalents and interchange fractions
- Can accurately count and record production activity including picking, transfers, etc.
- Can follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs
- Cross train with paint department
- Must possess the ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, basic hand tools and air tools
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Have completed forklift certification training with the safety team to operate a forklift
- Can record time accurately including 'time and attendance' and 'labor reporting' using the data collection system
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
- Must have some exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes
