The Retirement Plan Manager's primary role is to serve as the relationship manager for a diverse group of clients, requiring a broad and deep understanding of sophisticated investment management practices and the administrative needs of 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, defined benefit plans, and other types of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
Requirements
- Serve as primary relationship manager for company-sponsored retirement plans across our footprint and lead the onboarding of new clients.
- Responsible for team initiatives, including participation in prospect and client meetings and responding to client inquiries as appropriate.
- Meet with clients on a quarterly basis, or as needed, to review investment manager and portfolio performance and present appropriate recommendations.
- Prepare and present sales materials to prospective clients.
- Ability to discuss investment performance, economic, and financial market trends with clients and prospects.
- Assist in coordinating retirement plan service provider search, selection and monitoring, including recordkeepers, investment fund managers and third-party administrators as necessary.
- Manage retirement plan lineups, including the monitoring of existing client investment lineups and designing investment lineups for new plans in conjunction with our investment team as well as independently.
- Develop leads and referrals from current clients, outside contacts and internal bank partners; solicit requests for proposal where appropriate.
- Maintain internal contact management database and monitor the frequency of client and prospect contact
- Foster open communication with other Bank departments and meet with internal bank partners to educate them on our institutional investment offerings.
- Provide strategic input to the Wealth Management department and management as necessary.
