Requirements

• Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, School Counselors at UCHS promote student success, provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students.
• Assist in delivering the academic preparation and requisite support for all students to be prepared to succeed in college and career
• Collaborate with families to assist students with educational, career, and life planning
• Provide individual and group counseling to students, small groups, or classrooms with identified concerns and needs
• Monitor student academic performance, behavior, and attendance; and facilitate appropriate interventions
