Job Description
The Dean of Students position is integral in building a strong, positive, and joyful school culture at United Schools. The position is responsible for supporting student growth and achievement, creating safe and productive classroom environments, and shaping positive school culture. The ideal candidate will have a B.A./B.S. degree, at least three years of proven school leadership and/or teaching experience in urban settings, and knowledge of data-driven instructional practices.
Requirements
- Holds a B.A./B.S. degree (required); advanced degree preferred
- Has at least three years of proven school leadership and/or teaching experience in urban settings with an emphasis on data-driven instruction and demonstrable gains in student achievement
- Knowledge and Skills: Is committed to using data-driven instructional practices and the techniques outlined in Teach Like a Champion 3.0 to improve student outcomes
- Communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Comfortability with Google products for effective communication and completion of job responsibilities
