Pediatric Palliative Care Physician

Role Overview

Blank Children's Hospital is recruiting a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to join their team in Des Moines, IA. The physician will provide palliative care for children facing chronic, complex, and/or life-threatening conditions and their families. The role involves providing comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluation, skilled symptom management, and discharge planning. The physician will also serve as a clinical and educational role model and mentor.

Provide palliative care for children and their families in various settings, including the clinic, hospital, long-term care facility, or home. Participate in comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluation, skilled symptom management, and discharge planning. Serve as a clinical and educational role model and mentor.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Board certified or board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
