The User Support Specialist II (Network Services) is responsible for maintaining and supporting the University Hospital LAN/WAN environment, providing network infrastructure support, incident management, and problem resolution.
Requirements
- Follows directives, policies, and strategic guidance set by senior leadership and IST Infrastructure Management.
- Works independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves network infrastructure issues in both data center and client-side environments, following hospital policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintains accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and issues using manual and automated tools.
- Adheres to ITIL framework best practices for tracking, detailing, and resolving network support issues.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and PHI regulations when configuring and managing networks.
- Understands and adheres to University Hospital's compliance standards as they appear in University Hospital's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and University Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
