Electronics Engineer - Test IC / IC Evaluation Engineer

We are looking for an Electronics Engineer - Test IC / IC Evaluation Engineer to join an established ASIC design group working on developing and running measurement solutions to evaluate a range of cryogenic-compatible ASICs and micromachined components.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of electronics circuit / IC’s theory and good EM field theory, including noise analysis and physical device knowledge from a testing point of view.
• PCB schematic and layout using CAD tools, good manufacturing process knowledge and excellent verification/debug skills using electronics test equipment.
• Strong knowledge within the IC domain and integration within other electronics assemblies.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in high performance Electronics Design including IC, Digital, Analog and Embedded.
• Experience of PCB Design using ECAD (e.g., Altium, or similar).
• Use and automation of spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and VNA for taking precision measurements
• Experience of FPGAs and embedded software engineering for real time systems.
• Experience of working with suppliers and contractors.
• Demonstrate a strong discipline for thorough documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team Player.
• At least 2.1 BEng/BSc Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
