Job Description
We are seeking a research associate to join our faculty IV - Natural Sciences and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, at the earliest possible date, to work on experimental characterization of high-dynamic material behavior of new steels and development of phenomenological material laws. The position is limited for a period of 3 years.
Requirements
- Good / very good completed scientific higher education (Diplom TU / Master) in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Technology, Materials Science, or Production Technology
- Good knowledge of steel materials, their phase transformations, and properties
- Experience in numerical simulation (e.g. LS-Dyna)
- Programming experience with MATLAB / Python or FORTRAN
