Cardiovascular Perfusionist (Talent Pool)

UHN is Canada’s #1 hospital and the world’s #1 publicly funded hospital. We are seeking a Cardiovascular Perfusionist to support Toronto’s biggest and busiest suite of ORs, conducting 1750 cardiac surgeries each year.

Requirements

• Maintains and optimizes circulatory support and homeostasis of patients requiring cardiopulmonary bypass in cardiac and non-cardiac procedures
• Assembles, operates, and monitors myocardial preservation during CPB
• Provides additional therapeutic services such as administering medical gases, anesthetics, drugs, blood products, and crystalloid solutions
• Ensures the quality of the practice and safety standards is maintained
• Participates in professional development, teaching and education activities within Perfusion Services
