Registered Practical Nurse - Complex Continuing Care

UHN is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse - Complex Continuing Care to join their team at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute - E.W. Bickle Centre. The successful candidate will be part of an interprofessional team providing care to individuals with complex health issues or traumatic injuries. The nurse will be responsible for planning, managing, and evaluating nursing care for patients and families, participating in inter-professional team care planning, and providing mentorship to RPN students and new staff.

Requirements

• Diploma preparation as an RPN in a recognized education program for Nursing
• Current medication certificate (if not included in diploma program)
• Medical asepsis preferred (if not included in diploma program)
• Experience in Complex Continuing Care preferred
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level) Heart Saver Plus (Canada)
• Member, Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (RPNAO), preferred
