Registered Practical Nurse - Transitional Care Program

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will practice in accordance with relevant legislation/standards, the UHN Professional Practice Model and the mission and vision of nursing at the UHN to provide compassionate, collaborative and competent care, while meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.

Requirements

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Diploma in Practical Nursing
• Recent related clinical experience preferred
• Effective problem recognition, problem solving and decision making skills
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
• Demonstrated commitment to team success
• Resilience and effective coping strategies to manage change
• Demonstrated computer literacy in word processing and Electronic Patient Record
• Working knowledge of the College of Nurses of Ontario standards of practice
• Evidence of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
