Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician 2 assists pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications for patient administration. Activities include accurate preparation of patient medications, timely delivery of patient specific medications, and maintenance of drug stock.
Requirements
- High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program (Preferred)
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or community setting (Preferred)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) State of Ohio CPhT license (Required)
- Understanding of metric system and basic math concepts (Required proficiency)
- Good communication skills (Required proficiency)
- Knowledge of personal computer, calculator, facsimile machine (Required proficiency)
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing cabinets (Preferred proficiency)
