Job Description
The University of Auckland is seeking a Senior Technician - Food Science to support cutting-edge research and inspire the next generation of scientists. As a senior technician, you'll provide specialist technical support across food science teaching and research laboratories, maintaining complex instrumentation and ensuring our facilities operate safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Food Science, Biology, or a related field
- Experience working in laboratory environments (research, industry, or tertiary)
- Confidence working with complex scientific equipment and processes
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- The ability to communicate clearly and support a diverse range of people
