This one-year, full-time position is a Clinical Psychology Trainee designed to provide postdoctoral training for a graduate from a fully accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology. The trainee will provide clinical mental health services, outreach, consultation, and supervision, and engage in professional development.
Requirements
- Conducts clinical diagnostic evaluation and assessment of patients
- Provides goal-focused, time-limited individual, couples, and group psychotherapy
- Maintains timely and complete electronic clinical documentation
- Provides consultation, training, and outreach to members of the University of Chicago community
- Participates in clinical and administrative staff meetings
- Provides clinical training and supervision for psychology externs
- Exercises discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive situations
- Reviews, analyzes, and interprets federal and state laws, rules, regulations, Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures
- Delivers clinical services with guidance and instruction from others
- Combines clinical work with outreach, consultation, and supervision while working towards licensure
