Research Technician

The Research Technician will work on research projects involving vitro and in vivo investigation of novel small molecule inhibitors in the treatment of leukemia, development of transgenic animal models of leukemia, harvesting and cryopreserving hematopoietic tissues from these animals.

Requirements

• Plan, design, and execute experiments
• Adapt existing procedures to the needs of the project
• Troubleshoot and contribute intellectually to the project
• Perform support activities and lab maintenance
• Conduct experiments for projects investigating new experimental therapeutics in leukemias
• Maintain and order lab supplies
• Maintenance of mouse colonies, breeding transgenic models of leukemia
• Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project
• Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens
• Conducts literature reviews
• Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents
• Performs other related work as needed
