Assistant Professor in Experimental Nuclear Physics

The Department of Physics at the University of Guelph invites applications for a faculty position in experimental nuclear physics at the Assistant Professor level. This is a tenure-track faculty position that will be jointly funded for the initial six-year period by TRIUMF, Canada’s national particle accelerator centre. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous externally-funded research program at TRIUMF’s ISAC/ARIEL facilities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics or a closely related field
• postdoctoral experience
• demonstrated exceptional strength in independent research
• proven ability or demonstrated potential for teaching
