The Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will provide clinical and didactic instruction in ophthalmology, conduct research, and mentor students. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in clinical ophthalmology and excellent teaching, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree
- Licensure to practice in the Province of Ontario
- Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology or European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology
- Advanced research or education degree preferred
- Research capability
- Clinical teaching and service for patients in the OVC Health Sciences Centre
- Provision of clinical teaching to fourth-year DVM students, interns, and residents/DVSc students
- Training and mentoring of ophthalmology residents
