Universitetslektor i teoretisk filosofi

The University of Helsinki's Faculty of Arts seeks an Associate Professor in Theoretical Philosophy for a fixed-term position from 1 August 2026 to 31 December 2031. The successful candidate is expected to have in-depth expertise in epistemology and sufficient competence to teach in other core areas of theoretical philosophy. The position includes lectures, master's seminars, and planning new courses.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree
• Independent scientific research after the doctoral degree
• Experience in teaching and supervision of master's theses
• Scientific publications and research results of scientific value
• Pedagogical education and ability to produce teaching materials
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of Finnish and Swedish languages, and good knowledge of English
