Job description
The University of Maryland's Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is seeking a Shuttle-UM Bus Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students, staff, faculty, and guests. The driver will operate medium and heavy-duty commercial passenger vehicles to transport passengers efficiently and safely.
Operate transit vehicles, prioritize passenger safety, provide courteous assistance, and maintain vehicle readiness. Adhere to assigned schedules, follow operational policies, and respond to emergencies.
This role requires a valid Maryland Commercial Class B driver's license with a passenger endorsement and no air brake restrictions. The driver must be able to sit for long periods, concentrate in poor driving conditions, and provide quality customer service.
