Assistant Professor of Clinical - Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division at the University of Miami is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical - Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases to increase the scope of their program. The faculty member will be in charge of the pediatric antibiotic stewardship program, working closely with the pediatric pharmacy and the adult program. Responsibilities include caring for pediatric patients, supervising and teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, and conducting research to develop publications and grant submissions.

Requirements

• MD/DO degree
• Diplomate of the Board of Pediatrics
• Board eligible or Board certified in Pediatric Infectious Disease
• Demonstrated proficiency to perform research (clinical/basic/translational) and evidence of research success
• Desired: Pediatric Transplant Infectious Disease Fellowship Training or equivalent
• Desired: Experience in Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship programs
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the teaching of students and housestaff
• Be eligible for or maintaining a valid Medical License in the State of Florida and a valid DEA license
• Ability to work efficiently and collegially within a diverse environment as part of collaborative groups
• Ability to adhere to policies and procedures
