Job Description
Assistant Scientist position supporting research at the intersection of oceanography and fisheries, with a focus on larval dispersal, recruitment, and connectivity in the Gulf of Mexico.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in physical oceanography or related field
- At least 1 year of relevant postdoctoral experience
- Strong background in oceanographic modeling, statistical analysis, and data interpretation
- Demonstrated programming experience including MATLAB, R and Fortran, along with experience with High Performing Computing (HPC) environments.
- Peer-reviewed publication record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
