Job Description
The UHealth system at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a full time Postdoctoral Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Priyamvada Rai at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Prior experience in cancer research is a pre-requisite for this position as demonstrated by publications. US citizens and permanent residents will be prioritized for this position.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and expand basic and applied cancer research activities in the lab in accordance with lab goals
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the capacity to provide intellectual drive to make progress on the lab’s scientific goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and is able to write cohesive manuscript and grant proposal drafts
- Collaborates with other lab members to complete experiments and publish findings in refereed journals
- Requests or acquires equipment and supplies for assigned project(s)
- Prepares data in accordance with best practices and lab expectations for submission to journals, granting agencies and foundations
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
