The Sr. Research Software Engineer designs, modifies, develops, and implements AI/Machine Learning (ML)/Virtual Reality (VR)/Augmented Reality (AR) software systems as part of the University of Miami’s Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required
- Proficiency in programming languages like C#
- Experience using VR and AR tools such as HTC Vive and Oculus
- Experience using 3D game engines like Unity
- Deep understanding of 3D graphics, physics, and VR best practices
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications
