Responsible for working with Office of Development leaders to advance and manage a portfolio of donors in the $5,000-100,000 range in support of institutional priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- three years of non-profit fundraising, capital campaigning, or development experience
- Understanding of major issues and trends in healthcare and philanthropy
- Grasp of the complexities of a medical center environment
- Ability to learn appropriate levels of information about a broad range of health disciplines
- Knowledge of development database applications
- Computer skills including ability to manage and query data in development-related database
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Superior writing skills
- Deadline-driven, with a commitment to donor relationships
- Ability to build effective, collaborative relationships internally with departments, program staff, physicians, and other internal constituents
- Effective communication skills and collaboration with external stakeholders and community supporters
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to assess processes and work flow
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on behalf of philanthropic donors and medical center colleagues
