The University of Nevada, Reno Extension is seeking a dynamic, community-focused Community Based Instructor 3 (CBI 3) to join our Douglas County team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality educational programming that supports youth development through 4-H while also expanding into adult and community-based education in response to evolving local needs.
Requirements
- Delivering 4-H youth development programs through clubs, schools, camps, afterschool programs, and special interest programs
- Supporting and training volunteers in curriculum delivery, program expectations, and youth development best practices
- Providing direct education to adults and community members in areas such as workforce readiness, mental health education, health and wellness, and other identified community needs
- Building and maintaining partnerships with schools, agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations
- Promoting and recruiting for Extension programs through outreach, events, and community engagement
- Collecting and reporting program data (attendance, evaluations, outcomes) in alignment with university, state, and federal guidelines
- Preparing instructional materials and coordinating program logistics, including supplies, room set-up, and site coordination
- Representing Extension in the community through meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives
- Participating in professional development and supporting special projects and countywide initiatives as needed
