Community Based Instructor 3 - Douglas County Extension (Gardnerville, NV)

The University of Nevada, Reno Extension is seeking a dynamic, community-focused Community Based Instructor 3 (CBI 3) to join our Douglas County team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality educational programming that supports youth development through 4-H while also expanding into adult and community-based education in response to evolving local needs.

Requirements

• Delivering 4-H youth development programs through clubs, schools, camps, afterschool programs, and special interest programs
• Supporting and training volunteers in curriculum delivery, program expectations, and youth development best practices
• Providing direct education to adults and community members in areas such as workforce readiness, mental health education, health and wellness, and other identified community needs
• Building and maintaining partnerships with schools, agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations
• Promoting and recruiting for Extension programs through outreach, events, and community engagement
• Collecting and reporting program data (attendance, evaluations, outcomes) in alignment with university, state, and federal guidelines
• Preparing instructional materials and coordinating program logistics, including supplies, room set-up, and site coordination
• Representing Extension in the community through meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives
• Participating in professional development and supporting special projects and countywide initiatives as needed
