Job Description
The Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa is seeking two tenure-track faculty positions in financial accounting at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic service activities. Preference will be given to candidates with strong ability to teach in both official languages.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in accounting or in a related discipline
- Professional designation: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) - Canada
- Master's degree in accounting or a related field, together with a CPA designation held for at least three years, may be considered
- High-potential research program as demonstrated by articles published in high-quality and high-impact peer-reviewed journals in Accounting and related areas such as auditing
- Excellent communication skills in French
- Passive knowledge of one's second official language (English) is a requirement for tenure
- Ability to teach intermediate and advanced financial accounting in French at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and ASPE is required
- Ability to teach in English in these programs is an asset
