The Department of Computer Science in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor position for the 2026-27 academic year. The position offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the direction of a young and evolving program committed to excellence in undergraduate education.
Requirements
- Hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field (ABD considered; however, the terminal degree must be earned by July 2026).
- Possess a broad background in computer science with the ability to teach across the curriculum.
- Demonstrate potential for outstanding teaching, strong written and oral communication skills, and a commitment to high academic standards.
- Have experience teaching undergraduates (preferred).
- Exhibit the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Be committed to remaining current in the field.
