Job Description
The Department of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Tampa invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position. The contract begins Fall 2026 for the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will have a commitment to teaching students in a liberal arts setting and a Ph.D. preferred, though candidates very near to completion of the Ph.D. will be considered.
Requirements
- Teaching sections in at least one of the following: Introduction to American Politics, Introduction to Comparative Politics, or Introduction to International Relations.
- Teaching multiple sections of the special topics general education course for non-majors called “Politics and Society.”
- Preparing course syllabi and other course-related materials.
- Providing meeting times for students.
- Completing course grading and submitting final grades online.
