Certified Medical Assistants

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistants to join our Oral Pathology team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Maintain general appearance, cleanliness and stock in examination rooms, procedure rooms, and instrument processing room.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments and examination rooms according to infection control protocols, restock supplies and prepare rooms for a safe, clean and organized environment.
• Instruct Patients regarding appropriate preparation for certain diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Emphatically and professionally communicate biopsy results to patients, providing a clear explanation of findings and recommended treatment plans.
• Aid physician in scalpel biopsies and CO2 laser ablation by means of preparing procedural trays and assisting with oral retraction as indicated, following with precise documentation of treatment site(s) and surgical narrative(s).
• Takes baseline vital signs and patient history.
• Evaluates new patient charts prepared by front desk.
• Answer incoming phone calls. Assist in patient call backs and calls in prescriptions under the direction of the RN/MD.
• Professionally greets all patients and escorts them to clinical areas.
• Manages EHR desktop and alerts/flags.
• Provides discharge instruction/education to patients. Reviews handouts with patients.
• Assists other members of the clinical team with all patient care activities.
